NHS is a service organization whose members have been selected by a faculty council on the basis of high scholarship, school and community service, leadership qualities and good character. Members perform various services around the school and community such as helping at school events, fundraising for worthy causes, and doing other "good works" as the need is determined. Students must be second semester sophomores with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher to be considered. Meetings are on alternate Wednesdays. Students who were inducted at a previous school are invited to attend.
