The MUSS Program gives high school students, grades 9-12, the opportunity to represent a U.S. Senator, a member of a special interest group, or a member of the executive branch in a simulation of the Senate legislative process. Through Lotus Notes participants will be able to communicate with students throughout DODDS Europe as they prepare for MUSS 2008. Students will research a wide variety of contemporary legislative issues and prepare bills for discussion and debate in caucuses, in lobbying meetings, in committee hearings and, finally, before the entire MUSS Senate in its plenary sessions. Members of MUSS will then travel to Germany in the spring in order to participate in a complete simulation of the sitting Senate, from committee meetings to Plenary.
