This course covers grammar, word usage, spelling and vocabulary, creative writing, speaking and listening, technology research and dictionary skills. Literature selections include selected fictional and non-fictional short stories, to include the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, portions of Homer's Odyssey and selections from the Language of Literature textbook
