AP English Literature and Composition 12 (Year): This is a college level course in the practice of writing in response to literature. Literary analysis will be stressed both in its execution and emulation through exposure to the work of noted literary critics. Students will read, discuss, and write about significant works of English Literature. The writing will be in the form of prepared compositions, in-class, timed practices, and a research paper on Hamlet, which explores the critical discourse surrounding it. Literary terms and the genres of both poetry and prose will be covered.
