Don't forget that here at LHS our School Improvement Goals are in the area of reading. Specifically, we are working to help our students analyze main ideas and to think about text to draw logical conclusions. Remember, Lancers read! (Read on Mondays and Fridays)

Weekly Reminders: SHORTS, SKIRTS, DRESSES, AND APPAREL, MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 4 INCHES ABOVE THE TOP OF THE KNEE OR WITH SLITS NO MORE THAN 6 INCHES ABOVE THE KNEE.

Students are not allowed into school buildings prior to 0730 unless they are under the direct supervision of a teacher.

1. PROM TICKETS are on sale NOW.  They will NOT be on sale after FRIDAY, MAY 16.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

2. The last day the activity buses will operate this SY is the 30 th of May.  Please plan accordingly

3. Hey Everyone: Spring Carnival is Friday, May 16th...there will be lots of booths, music, and food, so bring lots of money.

4. If you are driving to Prom or taking a limo, you need to bring details to Mr. D ASAP.  Center Parcs will NOT let you in without this information!  Car make, model, and names of passengers !

5. NHS members who need school spirit hours, see Mrs. N about volunteering at the track meet next Saturday, May 17th.

6. Those students that have signed up for AFJROTC next year are invited to Drill Team and Color Guard practice every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon in May from 1515-1700. Activity bus passes will be provided for those that attend. If you have any questions see Col F or CMSgt D.

7. Seniors:  Did you take sign language class?  Are you interested in signing the national anthems at graduation this year?  If so, please see Ms. L with your name by the end of the day Friday. 

8. Attention all students who are interested in running for student council next year: please pick up an application from Miss M starting today.  Your speeches are due on the 23rd and ensure that your campaign posters have been approved before they are hung in the halls.

9. NHS members are reminded of Wednesday's meeting at 11:15 in the gym.  Juniors, if you are taking the AP lang exam, please see an officer or Mrs. N for information about the carnival on Friday. 

10. All NHS members are reminded that they can earn community service hours by working at the Mildenhall bazaar this weekend.

11. Yearbooks are in! Pickup will be Friday afternoon, May 16 during the Spring Carnival. Don't forget to bring your receipt. If you haven't bought one yet, you still have time. Yearbooks are $75.

12. Seniors only may pick up the yearbook in Mr. R's room, 405, Friday at lunchtime. Make sure you have your receipt.

13. Those Students interested in Playing Tennis this summer drop by Mr. P's Room 130 sometime and put your name and phone number on phone list to be exchanged with students interested in playing tennis with each other this summer or on weekends .

14. TWO Prom tickets will be raffled off at the Spring Carnival this Friday!  Only $2.00 per raffle ticket!  Come to the Junior Class Marriage Booth at the Carnival! 

15 . All seniors will be called out of seminar for the last 10 minutes for a very important but short class meeting in the GYM.

16. Sports Physical Day is coming!  Sat. May 31st.  Appointments are required and can be booked by calling 226-8010.  Parents and sponsors will be e-mailed with all the details.  See the nurse for any questions.

17 . Please mark May 30th, which is a week from Friday, on your calendars because it's time for our Second Annual LHS Talent and Variety Show! May 30th, 7pm in the cafeteria: be there !

18. Any students interested in volunteering at this weekend's home track meet?  If so, there will be a short informational meeting in Mrs. A. T.'s room (223) on Thursday right when the bell rings for lunch.  The meeting will last less than 10 minutes!
